The Other Side of the Giant Slab
Video installation, 2017
Video projection on concrete wall (300 × 400 cm) and HD screen (abstract collage video)
This early installation by Mai Al Shazly reconsiders the notion of territory and boundaries—both physical and psychological. Through layered, abstract video collage, the work reflects on fragmented geographies and shifting spatial relations, projected directly onto raw concrete to evoke the tension between permanence and impermanence.
